"The teeth at the front cause the mechanism to not close all the way, so smaller tea leaves slip through the slits at the back. I don't really mind this, but other people might. Also, you definitely want to let this dry out COMPLETELY before you use it, as it can change the taste of your tea if you use it directly after washing it - water gets trapped in the 'flower', so it takes longer to dry than the traditional metal versions of this style."
